DarkWaters Entertainment. For those that know, the name is synonymous with breaking out new and undiscovered talent.Started in late 1999, DarkWater Records, as it was then known, was meant as an outlet for artists that hadn't been signed but dreamed of one day getting their music heard. A way to release music on CD's and get promotion. A way to get recorded at a low price and exposure at local shows.Beginning with a number of Hip Hop and R&B artists, DarkWater Records, headed by Albert "Tito Goya" Ruiz and Raul "Syncere" Diaz, began to perform throughout New York, New Jersey and Connecticut and build a reputation as the most humble and professional independent label. Syncere decided to expand upon the name and instead of limiting itself to just records, christened the label DarkWaters Entertainment. This was to include management, distribution, name recognition and promotion. After a number of years, real life caught up with the label and artists began dropping out to deal with personal matters. The few remaining artists kept up their work but decided to put the label on hiatus. In early 2006, Bori Puro, one of the main artists signed to the label, and Syncere picked right up where they had left off. Without skipping a beat, shows and recording sessions began once again. This time, they kept the roster smaller....adding only 3 new faces to the 3 that remained. So far, DarkWaters Entertainment has shown no signs of slowing down. They plan to make hit after hit and continue the formula that has won them the attention and respect that they deserve.
