I am here for Friends and Networking

About Me

Ph.D. student at the University of Cal, Irvine. Raised as in Cali, traditionalist and conservative. Pro people and anti-liberal. Skiing rocks, California mountains suck. I love my family and could not do anything without their help and support. Friends would say that I'm a good person with a strong wit. I’m passionate and intense, sometimes it’s mistaken for temperamental. If I think you're wrong, I'll tell you. If you're pissing me off, you'll know.

I'd like to build a successful life for a future family who can live with the security and enjoyment that I was provided. Might be a little ahead of myself, but I tend to have a plan for everything. fFate exists, but I like to have control over myself.

. Looking to finish grad school in 4ish... years and get onto post-doc'ing. I'll be happy to get out of California. It's been great, but there are better places to live in the United States that have the mountains, the seasons, and the snow! Hey, but we'll see; can't count the chips until the dealing is done.

.. You scored as Maximus. After his family was murdered by the evil emperor Commodus, the great Roman general Maximus went into hiding to avoid Commodus's assassins. He became a gladiator, hoping to dominate the colosseum in order to one day get the chance of killing Commodus. Maximus is valiant, courageous, and dedicated. He wants nothing more than the chance to avenge his family, but his temper often gets the better of him.

Which Action Hero Would You Be? v. 2.0
created with QuizFarm.comI'd wish we'd go back to this attitude

My Interests

Football, hockey, neuroscience, politics, bbq'ing, skiing, fishing, ballroom.

Denver Broncos all the way!

Hockey... got to go with the Ducks AND Av's

"LETS GO DUCKS!"

Yah... I've got a picture of my cat on my page.

I'd like to meet:

Some good folks. Friends from High School, college, people to network for the future. Broncos fans, Ducks, Av's, anyone wanting to talk it up about what sparks your interest.

Vitali Klitschko, Vitaly Vishnevski, John Elway, Al Wilson, Rush Limbaugh, Benyamin Netanyahu.I suppose if you're a dorky scientist like me, we'll have things to talk about too. --- And I've already met this girl. I'm pretty happy about that.

Music:

You know, I've got to say, country. With the twang, the torque, the dog, the house, and the truck. Brad Paisley, Toby Keith, Kenny Chesney, Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, Alan Jackson, Keith Urban, Chris Cagle, Blake Shelton, Brooks and Dunn, Dierks Bentley, Gary Allan, Lonestar… it goes on. But you know, also go to put down the random ones; Train, Creed, Fuel, Better than Ezra, The Calling, Aerosmith, 3 Doors Down, No Doubt, Coldplay - - Michael Bumble, Frank, Sammy, Dean, Elvis, Rod Stewart, Lionel Richie - - Beatles, Jay and the Americans, Jimi, The Hollies, Bread, Cream, The Who, Simon and Garfunkel, Bobby Darin… Movie soundtracks, classical music, Hans Zimmer, John Williams, almost anything. Probably like what you like too… maybe?!

Movies:

I'm a fan of the epic action films but I'll go for a film that psycho-analyzes the world any day. For the longest time The Rock (96) has been my favorite movie and still is. Gladiator, Die Hard, Tombstone, Broken Arrow, Face/Off, Generals Daughter, Basic, Glory, The Patriot, Braveheart, on and on…. Big Fish, Shrek, Master and Commander, Beautiful Mind, Seabiscuit, Lord of the Rings, Pirates, Matrix (conceptually at least), Love Actually, Armageddon, Men in Black, In-Laws, The Mummy, The Recruit. AND... I am a Trekkie.

Television:

Stargate, House MD, Bones, Law and Order, Seinfeld, Rome, DEADWOOD!!!! CMT… little news, SNL, Jay Leno.

Books:

I wish I had more time, most of the time I'm just reading from a science journal or list of recently published abstracts - but! when I do find time you'll find me with a book from the like of Hannity, Limbaugh, Victor David Hanson, NRO, the RIGHT stuff! I get to read the Sunday paper, wooo!

And yes, I read classical western philosophy on freedom, liberty and democracy; for fun, yes!

Heroes:

Mom and Dad... they are two amazing people. Ronald Reagan, Muhammad Ali, Founders.
