"Ah yes, The Heavies. They inspire a fatherly feeling in me, which is to say an overwhelming sense of disappointment and embarrassment. Many people called them an instrumental band because most of their songs had no lyrics or just one word repeated ad nauseum. I believe that they were simply too lazy to put words to music. I mean, this was a band that effortlessly wrote instant classics such as "Ribs" and "Fill 'Er Up", yet they couldn't even be bothered to properly record any of them. All we have are these poorly-recorded live takes of songs they'd never learned to play properly anyway. Would it have hurt them to actually rehearse, even once? Worst of all, they don't even have the decency to break up. Instead, they play shows every once in a while to remind us why we despised them so much in the first place. What a bunch of assholes. By the way, I heard they're playing a 'secret gig' next week -- you really don't want to miss it."
