About Me

I was born on sugarless Wednsday in Oakland, California. Started hiting pots and pans with chopsticks early on, experimented with all the other instruments in my parents house too. Debuted my first composition, "Icicles", on piano in front of my whole elementary school when I was in second grade, I think it was about 15 seconds long. I can't remeber how it goes, but it sounded like Icicles. Started to play drums at 10, and played in various ska, punk and hardcore bands you've likely never heard of. Then I went to school to study percussion and played in many more bands you've probably never heard of, in many styles you probably have heard of, such as Jazz, Funk, Rock, Blues, Latin, Swing, Calypso, Soca, Mambo, Samba, Bossa, Batucada, Pagode, Reggae, West African, 20th Century, Avant Garde, Improvisation, Solo Percussion, and of course Country. I love to compose and all the tunes on my site here are my own compositions, except for "Soltura" which was completely improvised by Weather Machine. i am currently living in Portland, OR and playing music with the band TapWater. If you get the chance check out some tunes on the TapWater myspace page. I also teach lessons, if anyone in Portland happens to read this and is interested.
