Without love it all means nothing...

About Me

Woll... I grew up in Christchurch, before trotting over to Perth, after finishing my studies as a Graphic Designer. I stayed there for a few years, before ending up here in Melbs. I've always wanted to start my own mag, and so, one day, I did! I called my online publication Radi8, he currently resides at www.radi8.net. The idea started out pretty much with wanting to help other creative people, bands and small businesses to get recognised. So I cover that sort of thing in the create section. There's also an amuse section which is just a bit of fun and basically there for a laugh. While the live section is a bunch of articles about life and society as we know it. So yeah, that pretty much keeps me off the streets right now :)

My Interests

I have so many interests, where does one start?! Ice skating is way up there, along with roller blading, pois and hacky. AND ROLLING DOWN HILLS! Playing guitar and artistic type things follow closely behind. I looooove animals, people and having a REALLY GOOD LAUGH! Laughing is a daily necessity.

I'd like to meet:

You!

Music:

I like all kinds of music, although Techno/Dance is right up there at the top. But if I was forced to pick a few of my favourite artists, here's who they'd be in no particular order; Portishead, Lamb, The Waifs, Kasey Chambers, Shawn McDonald, Jennifer Knapp, Eva Cassidy, Sandy Thom, Joss Stone, India Arie, Delirium, Missy Higgins, Josh Pyke, Dogs Die in Hot Cars, AP2, The Dave Matthews Band and Fwem.

Movies:

I like really funny movies the best! Big fan of arthouse though, anything that's a little out of the ordinary is a winner with me, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Wool Cap, Pieces of April, stuff like that, it's all good people :) Ooooh but don't forget the docos! Do they count as movies?

Television:

After the telly in the living room blew up our tv watching days were greatly diminished. The Biggest Loser was by far the fav though and Thank God You're Here. Not to forget thursday night screenings of Lost, yeah!

Books:

I loooooooooove reading! Can't get enough baybee! Paulina Simons is an amazing author and Gillian White, Bill Myers too, if you're up for a novel. As far as more serious topics go, Donald Miller and Rob Bell rock my world.

Heroes:

Jesus... I would have to say that saving an entire world rates pretty high up on the heroic scale. And those who have gone through majorly traumatic experiences but can still smile, laugh and be at peace, you are all heroes in my eyes. A massive shout out to Sarsie and Kris for being awesome little Aussie battles, you're both an inspiration to me.
