First and foremost, this beautiful man has most of my attention!! Other than that, I love music, being outdoors, camping, mountains, any secluded environment (woods, lakes, etc.), learning, and writing to influence change.
I love meeting people from all different walks of life!"THOSE WHO EDUCATE CHILDREN WELL ARE MORE TO BE HONORED THAN THEY WHO PRODUCE THEM; FOR THESE ONLY GAVE THEM LIFE, THOSE THE ARt OF LIVING WELL." -Aristotle"WE WILL CONSERVE ONLY WHAT WE LOVE. WE WILL LOVE ONLY WHAT WE UNDERSTAND. WE WILL UNDERSTAND ONLY WHAT WE ARE TAUGHT." -Unknown
I love a variety of music. First, BLUE OCTOBER, BLUE OCTOBER, BLUE OCTOBER, BLUE OCTOBER!! (MY GOD, HAVE YOU LISTENED TO THEIR LYRICS?????) And of course, one of my favorites has become 7 Sharp 9 (pictured with me). More favorites of mine include: Her Space Holiday, Seether, Nine Inch Nails, The Fray, Audioslave, Metallica, Cake, all 80's hair bands (best years of music, hey I am 38, okay???), Cranberries, Foo Fighters, Rob Dickinson, Shinedown, Incubus, Ozzy Ozbourne, AC/DC, Mudvayne, Kiss, Weezer, Black Label Society, Staind, Jewel, Three Days Grace, Abba, Tegan & Sarah, 30 Seconds to Mars, and many many more.
Shrek . . . a movie Blake and I enjoy together and have watched about 50 times, The Notebook . . . the kind of love that reminds me of what I have found with Brent (the man I want to die with!), and Charlie Chaplin movies . . . as well as any others that can make a cynic laugh! Oh, and Zombie movies!!!
I don't watch television (only movies). I feel most television programs and commercials make people brain-dead, lazy, and negative. Along with money, it is one of the roots to evil, corruption, and problems in our society.
Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, The Awakening by Kate Chopin, Testament of Youth by Vera Brittain, The Art of Happiness by the gracious Dalai Lama, Child of God by Cormac McCarthy, The Heart is a Lonely Hunter by Carson McCullers, anything by Jonathan Swift, William Faulkner, Cormac McCarthy, Kurt Vonnegut, Jr., Kate Chopin, William Blake, Mark Twain, Charlotte Perkins Gilman, Flannery O'Conner, James Joyce, and everything that promotes change for the betterment of one's life (yes, I love self-help books!).
Virginia Woolf--she had the balls to show the world how a woman's mind really works; Jonathan Swift--he exposed hypocrisy and stupidity and didn't care what anyone thought of it (plus he was pure genius!); Kate Chopin, William Faulkner, any writer who influences change, and all who fight hard to be themselves and get stronger through their suffering and of course, my angel, Brent, who helped me trust again . . .
