About Me

In May 2003 I graduated from college with a BS in automotive engineering and no clue what I was going to do with my life. I left Michigan in hopes of finding a job that allowed me to do something I loved to do, fabricating, welding, machining, wheelin'...I ended up at the Badlands in Attica, IN building competition rockcrawling buggies. It was a job that pretty much met all of the criteria I posted above, and this "rock crawling" stuff looked really neat-o from the pictures I had seen. When I moved to Indiana I had just finished rebuilding my '49 Willys with 4-link and 4-wheel steer Dana 44's. It was totally built to do this some of this "rock crawling" I kept hearing about. To make a long story short (something I'm not good at doing), in the fall of 2005 my spotter Brian Howard and I won the first ever We-Rock national championship, and we have continued to be one of the top rock crawling teams in the country this year. When I moved to Indiana I never could have imagined that one day I would be regarded as one of the best rock crawlers in the country. At some point I realized that being the best is what I wanted to do, and I believe that you can do anything if you want it bad enough.Don't get me wrong, I love competing but its great to just hop in my Jeep on a nice day and go out wheelin'. This is the legendary Willys. I learned how to rockcrawl in this thing, and I probably rolled it close to thirty times in the process. Its not for sale, don't offend me with your offers.Above: Action from the "Mission Impossible" trail. What Ranch Pratt refered to as possibly the best rollover he's ever seen...and I lived to talk about it.I edited my profile with Thomas' Myspace Editor V4.4
