Showcasing contemporary art from emerging/established artists of all kinds. Largest gallery space in Philadelphia. Space Rental for weddings, corporate functions and more. 10,000 square feet with mezzanine. Situated in historic/arts district Old City. Built in 1901. Former home to MTV's Real World Philadelphia reality show. Opened as FUEL Gallery in 2006.

Fall Collection: September 5 - October 26, 2008. Group show featuring paintings and drawings from twenty Philadelphia-based artists: Amze Emmons, Cathy Hozack, Brian Richmond, Libby Saylor, Diane Sczcepaniak, Nicole Koenitzer, Holly and Ashlee Temple, Jenna Stolzfus, Erin Castellan, Andrew Wrigley, Pia DeGirolamo, Nic Coviello, Nancy Sophy, Eric Fausnacht, Jim and Lynn Lemyre, Lauren Sweeney, Leah Tomaino, and Janet Nelson. Opening Reception: Friday, September 5th from 6-9pm.
Recent Exhibitions:
Indifference and Apocrypha 1st floor, Memento Mori 2nd floor: April 1-25, 2008. seventeen national and international artists who have created work for these exhibits in a variety of different mediums. Included are paintings and drawings, video, mixed media and word collections.
Style of Consequence(SOC) and Music to My Eyes(MTME): May 30-July 27, 2008. A Look at Style and Fashion in Art. Performance and Video Work Incorporating Music in Process or Concept. SOC Artists include: Theresa Pfarr, Aster Luu, Jay McClellan, Valerie Garlick, Cheryl Yun and Shelly Bahl. MTME Artists include: Kate Tessa Lee, Betsey Biggs, Jessica Feldman, Preston Poe, Ed Osborn, Seth Kim-Cohen, Jennifer Schmidt, and John Kannenberg. Public Reception: Friday, June 6, 6-9p.m.Indifference and Apocrypha (First Floor) Cryptic paintings that echo memories, dreams and childhood. Memento Mori (Second Floor) Latin expression is translated roughly as, “Remember that you are mortal,” or “Remember you will die,” Memento Mori means something slightly less morbid to the artists who contributed to this exhibit. Shirking the urge to focus solely on death imagery to represent the pitfalls of materialism and mortality, the artists used consumer objects and political figures as symbols of earthly pleasures. Runs April 1 – 25, 2008 Opening Reception: Friday, April 4, 6-9p.m.
PARRIS NEW YORK PHILADELPHIA: November 30-January 6, 2008. Artists were chosen from both the FUEL submissions as well as White Columns gallery in New York. Artists include Kenneth E. Parris, Paul Fabozzi, Shelley Loheed, Nicole Koenitzer, Joyce Korotkin, Peter Owen, Andrew Wrigley, Holly & Ashlee Temple, Doug Kinsey, Gigi Chen, Jon Petro, Centa Petersen and Austin Lee.The work brings to Philadelphia viewers a dynamic perspective on what is happening with today’s new painters. The exhibitions refreshing range of style provides something for everyone. ****Exhibition extended thru February 11th. Additional Artists: Jill Galloway Sherman, Stephen St. Francis Decky, Maggie Van Scoyk and more.

November 8-9, the FUEL Collection is proud to host two exhibitions for the International Digital Media Arts Association 2007 Conference, "Beyond Boundaries: Digital Evolution and Change." iDEAs will be on the first floor, showcasing innovative digital mediums, while a Student Showcase will be on the second floor, displaying works from schools across the country.
