Enjoy Your Pumas

About Me

First thing is first: how does one describe this band?

Though they are hard to pin down in terms of genre, Enjoy Your Pumas certainly have a distinct sound. The Pumas have a uniquely wide range thanks to their versatile musical backgrounds coupled with the dynamic female vocals. Drawing collectively upon some of the more modern guitar-driven bands like The Arctic Monkeys, Foals, Bloc Party and Metric, the Pumas have crafted a rhythmically strong groove-conscious sound that is always complementary to the beautifully ardent vocals of singer, Rosie Blais. Rosie’s range is astounding. One would never guess that such a big voice could come from someone so petite. She commands the attention of her audience and knows how to use her voice to withhold and to deliver.
While the Pumas have worked hard to craft a densely layered and intricate sound, one thing that the music never lacks is energy. They make music because music is fun, and for them fun doesn’t mean generic. Their songs are heartfelt and mature, but never intimidating. For the Pumas, music is a passion and more than anything they want to share it, because after all, music ought to be a shared experience. And what better than to share an experience that is enjoyable?
