Straightflash is a production project that sprouted from the meeting of two jazz musicians who shared a common motivation to make electronic music. Portuguese born Sergio Miranda and frenchman Tom Six have been making music together now since their meeting at Berklee in 2002.The similar musical backgrounds and love for instrumental and abstract music ended in a unique sound in the world of techno today, by not sticking to the usual conceptions of dance music and always exploring new horizons in sonic realms.Their live set is made with two computers, which generates real interaction and improvisation, freeing both artists to express themselves without constraints. Having played in festivals such as Boom or Universo Paralello, and in several clubs in Brazil and Portugal for the past few years, they are now looking to expand their performing experience abroad.As producers, they have released an EP and several songs and remixes with New Breed Recordings, still they haven’t released any of their new material and are looking for a label that shares their path and vision in music.For booking, release or remix request, please contact:
