Biography 2006-2009, a brief history Seiphian - Nijmegen, Netherlands - was founded in 2006. Somewhere around December Fon Sanders and Joop Lammerts met and started writing songs. As they worked on some songs they felt a great connection with their skills of playing, composing, producing and had the same musical ideas.
Though Seiphian started as a project with only Joop and Fon being the only musician there was a strong need for a steady line-up. So while composing and writing songs they started to look for more band members.
Between March and July 2007 the steady line-up was accomplished, only a female singer had to be found. In October 2007 Seiphian recorded their first demo “Passage Burden†and it was well received and several live shows followed.
Since Seiphian had a steady line-up the song writing became also more of a band issue instead of, like in the beginning, a process by Joop and Fon. So the musical direction of Seiphian changed a bit. From “Symphonic rock / metal†to “Symphonic metal with power metal influences†This musical change also was also caused by the voice of Inger who joined Seiphian in December 2007.
Around that time more live shows where added. Mostly outside the region. New songs were written and in September 2008 plans for a new CD were made. “Ambassadors of Morning†was recorded at New Road Studios in February 2009 and consists of four songs. The CD was accompanied by a mini-tour with the bands Xystus and Sons of Seasons through Holland and took them to Baroeg and The RockTemple.
With the release of this CD the metamorphose is complete. Seiphian is a complete band instead of a project, were each and every member adds his or her own musical ideas.
