Antti made his first composition in the age of six. A year later his grandpa won the lottery and purchased a piano to Antti who started to take classical piano lessons pronto. Couple years later, Santa brought Antti an Amiga 500. As an outcome Antti couldn’t be separated from the device and the future with electronic music was sealed. During the years Antti would go to music orientated comprehensive and high school, piano and music theory classes and school of visual art by day and spent his nights learning the making of electronic music by trackers and midi softwares. Somehow Antti still had time to play keys in some different rock bands and clarinet in the orchestra. Today he’s a graduated sound designer.
Jakki started to show his musical talent by banging pots and pans at home. Later their piano keys started to get their part of the banging. As natural continuation he started on music orientated class at school and lessons in classical piano. At the band school he ended up playing keyboards in different projects but at the same time, found the stiff piano lessons repellent. He discontinued the lessons but never stopped playing and wanting to develop his skills in playing. Jakki has always been fascinated by electronic devices and their functioning and once he saw a tracker at his cousin’s house he immediately wanted to learn to master the gadget. He began spending more time wherever he could find a device that he could play and sample with. The interest towards electronic music started to grow.
Antti and Jakki got to know each other in the age of fifteen and soon learned that they were both minded for computer reflected sounds. The two started to make music together (e.g. under the name Mad Habit and
H4z
) trying out different music styles and vocalists during the years.
Some of their material spread widely and was played by DJs such as Judge Jules, Paul Van Dyk, Scott Bond and Ferry Corsten. But still peaces didn’t quite seem to come together. They started another look for a new vocalist.
Ankku has been told to have composed her first 'song' with a mini keyboard, before she could barely talk. Later she found herself singing in one of the most famous children’s choir's in Europe. As their choir ideology involved every singer playing an instrument, Ankku ended up with a flute. Later on the sixth grade she got her hands on a guitar at school's music class and fell in love with the instrument. By the time of senior high Ankku quit taking guitar lessons and choir after six years but was still playing and singing at home and writing songs. She sang at school occasions and bars with open stage accompanying herself with her guitar. Later she put up a band Ingeborg along with some friends, but the project ended up fading while Ankku’s gap year in Australia.
When returning home, Ankku still wanted to make music. One day she received an interesting e-mail from Antti and Jakki…
