About Thundaground
Thundaground represents the future, past and present generations of talent. The Souljahz will enforce basic fundamentals musically and beyond. These Souljah DJz include: DJ Gran/Fortune, SPIER1200, P-Love, DJ C2, DJ Emmo and more djs/artists.
ThundaGround is an "undaground" movement manifested by DJ Emmo "The Souljah" and Cajo Communications. It started off as a showcase that took place October, 2004 and turned itself into a DVD magazine slated for a late 2006/early 2007 release. The showcase featured Jeru The Damaja w/Lil Dap, Young Zee w/Rah Digga, Lord Have Mercy, Saj Supreme, Termanology & Krumb Snatcha hosted by Poison Pen.
The DVD is a day and a life of The Souljah DJ (Vol. 1 is the 2 part dvd premiere issue). From throwing undaground showcases to hosting undaground radio stations to chilling at undaground events such as Rock Steady's 29th Anniversary, The Souljah holds it down with N.Y.U.'s finest (which stands for New York UndaGround).
Special appearances by: Big Noyd, Young Zee & The Training Room, Tragedy Khadafi, Lord Have Mercy, A-Alikes, Wordsworth, Oh No, Red Clay, J Rawls, Pumpkinhead, Shabazz The Disciple, Loer Velocity, The Large Professor, DJ Rob E Rob, DJ Famous, N. East Wildcats, Oktober, Bathgate, Tahir of Hedrush and one and only Poison Pen.
In 2006, ThundaGround had the pleasure of joining forces with VH1/Hip Hop Honors to feature more great underground superstars. Our special guests did their thing and proof will be on the following DVD issue (Vol. 2). Performances by: K Banger/Balance Project, E:Regulah/RealaState, Why G/SplintahCell, Josiah/N.S.G., Self Suffice/RaPoets, AftahLife/Rebel Gentlemen, Jah Powaz&Misah Blu, G.General/I.G.U. and Loer Velocity hosted by L.I.F.E.Long will be on Vol. 2 along with videos, interviews and many other artists.
