Everything around SIDE BY CYDE started in Summer 2k4. Mirco – in swiss dancehallscene already known as Major Lando – and Marc were on the way to the Chiemsee Reggaefestival. During chilling to the sounds of cocoa tea, culture and many more the idea came to found a sound together. In mai 2k5 they play together the first time at UPFULLQUEENZ’s „Bern City Dancehall Madness“ with all the other big sounds outa Bern City. The dance, the crowd, the sound - everything was big and it was clear for SIDE BY CYDE to go forward.
In coming time SIDE BY CYDE played in basel with ON FIRE SOUND, played often in Lyss with TEAM AN’ FIAH, went to germany to played longside Mighty Dragon and of course they allways played again in their home town.
There are lot of nice memories: The meeting with LEXXUS; The meeting with MARK WONDER; The good vibrations durning the dubplate session with PRINCE THEO; The dance with VIBES GALAXY, PHENOMDEN and THE SCRUCIALISTS; The dances with BENJAHMAN. And so on and so on...
For SIDE BY CYDE it`s also important to have a political message. That`s why they work together with ROOTS AND CULTURE, MORE FIRE SOUND, TEAM AN’ FIAH, and Mr.Biggi from CULTURE FACTORY.
