Roderick Monroe is working hard to become one of the new faces of horror films. The images he project on screen, in most of his underground films, at times are labled twisted and disturbing.Inspired by writers such as Edgar Allen Poe and Emily Dickinson, Roderick grew an interest in writing short stories and poetry at an early age.But it wasn't until 2007 Roderick teamed up with best friend, Writer,Producer and Director, Eddie Brown Jr.,to start their company "Surround FilmWorks Entertainment",and produce the feature film “County Road 14â€.This is a film inspired by local urban legends of a road that is haunted by vengeful spirits."County Road 14" was Monroe and Brown's first feature film. The two also completed shorts such as "Last Call","One Choice" and "Raiders". In the summer of 2008 "Surround Filmworks" merged with "Planet Horror Pictures". The two companies plan to do it again in 2009 on a grander scale ,with their new film “Something in the Night†a.k.a the S.I.N. project.
