Gully - New Track online!

About Me

Born in Germany, he got first in contact with music through the infamous Pet Shop Boys and fell in love with electronic music from that on. On the way he listened to artists like Harold Faltermeyer, Chris Huelsbeck, and several artists from the Commodore 64 music community (Matt Gray, Ben Daglish, Rob Hubbard, and others). In the early nineties his brother introduced him to trance - and he stuck a while on that, mainly on Frankfurt based stuff and Bonzaii Records. Today, some Trance classics and Goa / Full-on is still in his favourite playlists. In highschool, his music teacher introduced him to classical music, which made him stuck on Beethoven and others for a while. From the mid-nineties on, Gabber and Hardcore had an influence on him, although he never got really into bying records at this time. He started to work with some tracker programs, mainly FT2, and produced a couple of tech/house/gabber tracks.
Back in 2000, he moved to Sweden, went to some psy-trance parties and fell in love with that sound. Later on , the groundmotion-crew introduced him to DnB and some fellows of NEMCOM did the same with experimental and electronica to him. Finally, he started to work on own tracks again, this time with Fruityloops (yes fellows, you can do some stuff with this program too!).
Today, he is spinning records on minor events on an irregular basis. Sets can contain everything from Ragga Jungle to Breakcore, hard DnB (e.g., Killing Sheep Records), wicked electronica, industrial-like sounds (Hymen Records and stuff) to Hardcore and Gabber (e.g., Deathchant and Enzyme (K7 & X)).
Objective:
The crowd should have a good time. Don't let them get bored with one and the same beat for 5 minutes. And most important: Play from the heart into the hearts!
During the past years in Norrköping / Sweden, he was involved in conducting events such as "PomPom i Parken", "Intercity", "Gehörsturz", "Tillfällig Kontrast I/II", and "Soundscapes to video installation 'Kärnkraft'". He played even records on these events (supporting act) and on others such as "Fest i Valen" (booked) and "Norbergfestival" (open stage). Back in Germany he was involved in art exhibitions such as "Kunstfrühling 2007" in Würzburg, where "Kärnkraft" was performed once more together with the swedish crew. He also got the possiblity to spin records on the open turntable session at the DnB night at Zauberberg (Würzburg).
