SOL_1.Synfonie was composed 2000 with Cubasis and is Tom..s most ambitious work for computer music. Recorded live on stage on two occasions: at Postfuhramt Festival Berlin June 2000 (tracks 1 and 4) and at Bahnhof Gusow July 2000 (tracks 2+3). Cubasis was edited live on stage! Haltestellen/Loops are basis for improvisations on Kendang (1+4) and Waterphone (2+3). Total length 48 minutes.
This big composition features long excerpts from compositions by my teacher Gutama Soegijo written for new gamelan percussion ensemble in the 1980s. The first movement also contains a humble cover version of Soft Machine..s Noisette.
