ERIC SWANSON

About Me

Singer/songwriter Eric Swanson has a powerful, emotive voice, both flexible and full of range. He’s paid his dues with the requisite almost-made-it bands in recent years, along with years well spent honing his craft in Nashville TN and now with hard lessons learned, he’s ready to raise the bar.Raised in Kingston, New York, Swanson has dipped into the musicians-pool of nearby Woodstock and NYC, working with veteran producer/studio owner Chris Anderson(Todd Rundgren, Stevie Wonder, Goo Goo Dolls, Tori Amos, Third Eye Blind, Stevie Nicks etc…), venerable drummer/producer Gary Burke, artist/producer Saul Zonana and Platinum award winning mixer Pete Moshay.Swanson came up influenced by James Taylor, Eagles, Journey, and Bon Jovi, and his melodic, catchy tunes are proof. In the fall, Burke pulled in colleague Hughie McDonald-who just happens to play bass with Bon Jovi-to do some recording. Obviously for Swanson, this was pure heaven.Songs such as swirling “Through My Door,” potential power ballad “How could you” and lush “Awake” have more hooks than a tackle box, while “When It’s Gone” has a latent Michael McDonald lilt to it.Working with Burke and co-writer Greg Kroll of Finishline Music Publishing and surrounding himself with world-class musicians is a smart move, and Swanson is certainly rising to the occasion. With more fully realized tunes, and an increased depth and weight to his already, formidable and impressive pipes, Swanson is now ready to make his next move. Swanson has recently relocated back to the Music City, writing and recording on famous Music Row.Working with longtime friend, Guitarist Ed Eason(Carrie Underwood/Shedaisy) and studio owner/guitarist, Jamie Laritz(Black Hawk, Bret Michaels) Swanson is in full swing, recording and co-writing with some of Nashville's best. Special guest session players include: Hugh Mcdonald(Bon Jovi), Gary Burke(Joe Jackson, Shania Twain), Prof. Louie(The Band), Rick Brothers(Gretchen Wilson), Rusty Danmyer(Leanne Rhimes), Shawn Hughes(Big & Rich) & Renea' Truex(Cowboy Crush) and the insanely talented Kim Everett.Currently Swanson has joined forces with MHN Management, a boutique management company representing a multitude of creative talents including directors, producers, graphic designers and musical artists located in the heart of the big apple NYC. They will be handling all his music placements for TV, Film, National TV/Radio commercials and overseas.
