Hello, I'm the 1982 World's Fair. I took place in Knoxville from May 1st-October 31st in summer of 1982. I certainly left my mark in my short time around downtown. I brought nations from all over the world to raise hell in Knoxville for 6 months or so. Some hated me, some loved me, but they all knew I was around. Anyway, since it's been 25 years since then and I know so many people, I thought I'd join this myspace thing to see what happens. I'm also selling my t-shirts and such at West Towne Mall over the holidays. (OK...I'm a sell out, but so what?!? Proceeds are going to the East Tennessee Historical Society. If you want to give me props, just put your best memories of me in the comments. I love you all very much.
