Voiced by Billy West According to the Volume 1 Futurama DVD, he was born on August 9, 1974, in Brooklyn, New York. At the end of the series, Fry is 29 years old. If one takes his cyrogenic freezing into account, he is 1029.Billy West, mentioning jovially that he bases Fry on himself as a self-professed loser and just a lazy man a caracter to look up to. The name "Philip" was given to Fry by Matt Groening as an homage to the then recently murdered Phil Hartman, for whom the role of Zapp Brannigan was created.
