These three guys have gotten together with a vision of brining this live dance act scene to new heights by way of taking club DJing and clashing it head-on with unadulterated rock style drums and straight-up battle style MCing.
A Blazin Cucumbers set will never comprise of just one or two or even five genres or they’ll get bored, they’ll go through from hip hop, rock tracks, indie remixes and even Latina/afro beat grooves to big room house and hard electro.
Dj James Humphries likes to keep the crowd guessing by mixing between tracks and genres quickly and effortlessly. Hardly ever letting a whole track play he keeps the energy and suspense up the whole set.
Chris is a rock drummer coming from the Sydney indie rock scene and doesn’t change anything to play in a night club. Playing solid rock grooves over the top anything James can throw at him while drowning in Jager Bombs you’d think he’s forgotten he’s in a nightclub or just doesn’t really care.
Jules [aka MC Me], coming from a battle MCing background, freestyles in and out of the set in between going to the bar, and steeling your girlfriend. With hard hitting lyrics and a voice that can be likened to Ol’ Dirty Bastard of Wu Tang Clan, he won’t hesitate to bag out any fakers or wanksters in the room.
These lads have only come onto the Sydney dance scene in the last year and having done shows with Bag Raiders, Goodwill, Shamus and Craig Obey, they will rock a show big or small all the same.
