Chill Fantastic is taking audiences by storm with their infectious body moving grooves. In today's diverse music scene, a new style of music has begun to emerge with the combination of live instrumentation and electronic beats and sounds. The two styles compliment each other by taking the sonic nuances usually performed by a DJ into the hands of talented instrumental artists.
Chill Fantastic embraces this concept and strives to go above and beyond the bar. They take the combination of electronic influences and also bring in the genres of jazz, funk, and all out rock and roll. With bassist Michael Koenig, guitarist Jeff Lordan, keyboardist Paul Wierdak, and drummer Jimmy Sullivan, Chill Fantastic constantly strives to create intricate hypnotic valleys and peaks that make audience members scream for more.
Early this year Chill Fantastic unleashed it's music upon Boulder's local venues. Word spread quickly, and for their live debut Chill Fantastic played to a sold out crowd at the Republic of Boulder and wowed the audience with their entire set. As a charity event, Chill Fantastic's Mardi Gras performance raised nearly one thousand dollars to help rebuild New Orleans after the city was devastated by Hurricane Katrina. At the peak of their set, the doors to the Republic were closed, as the bar was filled to capacity - more than 700 music lovers came to show their support, and were sent into a pulsating frenzy by Chill Fantastic's performance. In May, Chill Fantastic played the annual Bolder Boulder for 50,000 runners. Exactly 7 months after their first show, Chill Fantastic made their first appearance at the famed Fox Theatre in Boulder, Colorado. Just a few months later, they headlined the Fox Theatre. A few months after that, the fellas of Chill Fantastic disbanded to pursue other musical opportunities.
Chill Fantastic will no longer be playing live shows. Those of you who came to see us, thank you very much!
