Dennis Humble - NEW VIDEOS UP!

Dennis Humble and his wondrous inventions!

About Me

"Dennis Humble is a 76-year old musician/inventor with no signs of slowing down... A true embodiment of the human spirit, he has carved his own unique path, while performing truly exciting music..."
Dennis Humble was born on Aug 3, 1931 in London, England. Venturing to Canada in 1966, he settled in London, ON, where he spent most of his working life as a landscaping business owner. After an industrial accident as a machinist cost him part of his right middle finger in 1971, Dennis spent the next 20 years owning and operating multiple businesses, finally picking up a guitar out of personal intrigue when he was 63 years old! Arming himself with the knowledge of a more delicate musical window, Dennis decided to invent and design a one-of-a-kind guitar system that can be used by anyone either seeking a more curious way to play the guitar, or by anyone with a disability that has use of their arms.
This system consists of 9 slides, including 3 attached to both of the wrists, which makes for quite an interesting show on the live circuit for anyone who is fortunate enough to witness Dennis playing his original songs. While most guitarists have only 9 mechanical functions, Dennis has found this system to provide a player with 27 mechanical functions! Triple the mechanical functions of a regular player!
He has also designed and constructed his own electric guitar, named the DHS (short for Dennis Humble Slider), which contains 8 pickups, and "The Box", an acoustic resonant chamber cut from the bottom lobe of an acoustic guitar, sutured to the back of an electric guitar, which Dennis gutted specifically for "The Box" to be affixed.
At 76 years young, Dennis can be found shaking up the live circuit with more energy and flare than most of the musicians who are one-third of his age. He is also currently in the process of recording a full-length record debut and compiling a documentary on his life and experiences.
