FRANK KOREN BIOFrank began playing the guitar at age 13. He soon formed a small vocal-less trio that would perform Rush, Yes, Genesis and Led Zeppelin as well as other '70ish rockers.Following a four year university hiatus Frank began his professional career in some Hamilton classic rock outfits before finding his groove with the 9piece r'n'b group, Ruben Kincade. Then it was back to the hard rockin' of a Guns and Roses Tribute in Lies. Through this he was adding his colours to the alt-pop band All Good Children, touring throughout Canada and charting on CFNY102.1 and 97.7 HITZ.In the mid 90's Frank was part of an original jazz fusion outfit, the DYSFUNKSHIONALS. At this time he also began his foray into country music with the likes of Griff Martin, David Martin and most currently, Colin Amey.The new millenium found Frank performing with his wfe, Kim Koren, as part of Punchbuggy Yellow. The band played cover clubs and original showcases. Kim and Frank continue to perform regularly as a duo throughout southern Ontario, New York City, Uk and Europe. Kim's second CD, "Sun Went Down" came out in May '07 to great local reviews.2009 finds Frank heading back to the UK with Kim for some more shows in March. A western Canadian tour is being planned for late July with a possible eastern swing in September. A third CD is being worked on by Kim.Frank is also finding himself in various studios around Hamilton including Grant Ave. He is also adding his guitar flavours to the likes of Alfie Smith, Marta Pacek, Mary Simon, Fred D Smith, Ian Reid, Tanya Philipovich, Stella 66(Liverpool) and many others.Throughout his career he's shared the stage with the likes of Kim Mitchell, 54-40, Teenage Head, Bad Company, Ronnie Milsap, Tom Wilson, Spirit of the West, and more.
