When you combine a young lady who has the vocal prowess of a young Faith Evans mixed with Lauren Hill with another who can sing all over a track with vocal acrobatics reminiscent of Coco from SWV and then add in another young lady with the strong, gritty street flow that puts you in the mindset of a young Mary J, you come up with the next big thing. And that next big thing is Taj, the young urban group of females that are ready to take this industry by storm. When you look at them, two words always come to mind. When used together as one phrase these 2 words embody just what Taj is reppin'......Hood Sexy. With cleverly penned songs about blooming relationships or failed ones Taj hits the listener in the head with beautiful voices over hot tracks that certainly have a street appeal yet are pleasing to any listener's ear.Imani 21, Whitney 20 and Mandee 20 are three lovely young ladies from the hoods of New York, Bronx, Brooklyn and Bronx respectively. They have all been singing since early child hood before linking up to form what some may call a female super group in the years to come. One thing is for certain...these girls can sang. But don't sleep, because Mandee will also surprise you with her rap game. To hear her spit her self written rhymes, one wouldn't think the girl could blow. But she can. They all can. Not to mention, two of them are former dance instructors. While the term "Total Package" is probably used far too often in this business, it is quite appropriate here.Each member of Taj is so hot in her own way yet they blend together so well both visually and vocally. Not only are they talented but also cool. Whether you are watching them perform or just chillin.. in the room with them, they give off a sort of TLC vibe, but with a more urban spin to it.
