So who exactly is L. Ness? , the answer lies behind what’s ahead in this biography. Elliot Martin better known as L. Ness was born and raised on the Southside streets of Chicago. Ness was introduced into the wonderful world of Hip Hop at the early age of seven, by his sister Tia Martin. She was an inspiration to him because of her interest in the culture. She was a part of one of the many Hip Hop crews of Chicago. Tia was also into emceeing, break dancing, and other elements of the culture. The young and eager L. Ness took notes and begun to pick up and develop talents of his own. At the age of eight he began to really play a part in the Hip Hop culture. As time progressed he noticed that rap was one of his strongest and most creative talents. So he decided to work hard at it and one day become famous from his creative talent.
As Ness grew older he noticed that his skill with emceeing was developing rapidly and others around him also started to notice. Early into his high school years he met and joined with members of a rap group known as Ill Nature. Other artists from the group who had an encounter with Ness noticed his capabilities with emceeing and decided to select him as a member of the crew.
Once Ness was a member of Ill Nature he began to work with two of the group’s producers who were Darryl Branscomb, known as Strapede and David Ewing, known as Prolific. Once work was in progress, Ness and other members of the group began recording various amounts of songs in order to hopefully pursue a possible music career. The group also did various shows at clubs and venues throughout the city of Chicago and also in other states such as Detroit and Wisconsin.
So where exactly is Ness right now? Well he is still executing his musical talent at 100 percent. At the age of 24, he has recently graduated from Northern Illinois University, where he has done various performances, Including an opening act for Def Jam’s artist, Ludacris. He is also still working with Prolific and also a long time friend and producer by the name of Daniel Griffin, better known as Dantanna. Dantanna’s mother played a part in raising L. Ness as a child while he was growing up. Mrs. Griffin was Ness’s guardian who watched him after school while he grew up in the neighborhood. Although Dantanna and Ness where on different paths with music, they both encountered a heavy loss when she passed away. This loss had brung the two closer together and now they are currently working as a team to release their music. Dantanna is an excellent producer who has done music for various artists throughout the years. Artist such as Jive Records artists E40, Too Short, and Chicago’s own Do or Die and Twista. He also received the single of they year award for Soldiers at War’s single “Was sup Joe†in 2002.
So the final and most important question is what can L. Ness bring to the table as an artist? L. Ness has the type of creativity that can reach out to various audiences. In other words the music that he creates can have an effect on anybody from anywhere. Bringing creativity to the table can make a difference because there are different people who appeal to different things. Not all people are just use to the same everyday aspect. Ness aspects and goals as an artist are to appeal to all audiences around the nation and the world. Also another goal of his is to bring longevity to the industry and continue to develop stronger skills as an artist. Other artists of today who inspire Ness are artists such as Mobb Deep, Jadakiss, Method Man, and many others who have an impact on Ness as an artist. These artist and many others are the people who give L. Ness the drive and hustle as an artist to keep pushing and pursuing to deliver what the music world needs.
