RADIATING EYES

About Me

"Considering their tender years, Bedfordshire quartet 'Radiating Eyes' have, in their short lifespan, explored many facets of punk. Known initially as fast and frenetic old skool revivalists, they have changed their bassist and transfigured into a more hardcore outfit. Vocalist Ben is now free of his guitar and roams the stage and other parts of the room randomly. Discordant bursts a plenty, but the charisma of guitarist Dazz allied to the all round total confidence exuded is to be applauded. The velocity embedded in this claustrophobic assault is also to be admired. This is not a performance by a bunch of thumb-sucking schoolboys gurning to their mates. They have shifted their sound to cater for the screeching sonics, of which there is more than enough here to satisfy those of us here partial to a touch of heaviosity!"
~Martin Stapleton (Bedford Esquires)
"Shakespeare wrote "If music be the food of love, play on," but then again we doubt he had ever listened to Radiating Eyes."
~Paul Fisher (The Times & Citizen)
"I love The Radiating Eyes dude! Sounds like the kind of punk I grew up listening to!"
~Scott Sorry (The Wildhearts & AMEN)
"I really enjoyed listening to your tunes. its good to know that’s there's still British bands keeping punk alive!"
~Jag Jago (The Ghost of a Thousand)
"The Radiating Eyes are the type of band that get me all fired the fuck up! Cheers boys, the shit sounds good!"
~Lenny Thomas (Trashlight Vision)
"It’s not polished. It’s not perfected. At times it’s made up on the spot, but it’s all heart, guts and balls. Most impressive!"
~Alex Hambleton (DTA Promo)
Formed in late 2007, The Radiating Eyes’ journey began simply enough as four action-starved 14-15 year olds took to writing and performing their unique brand of stripped down and wilfully erratic punk music at pubs and venues in and around their hometown of Bedford, England.
The momentum and excitement surrounding the band was palpable and inevitably led to the release of their blistering, self-financed debut E.P, which was itself quickly followed, in typically productive fashion, by their first full length album entitled ‘Parasite City’ (2008). Since the albums release they have played many local headline shows as well as some high profile support slots with the likes of Fucked Up, Eyelash, The Eyes of a Traitor and Pay No Respect.
Staying true to their self-motivating DIY ethics, Radiating Eyes are currently working on their sophomore album which will reflect their more refined melodic hardcore sensibilities.
Don't dare mess with the flesh eating zombie octopus, he will fuck you up bigtime
