EntitledTHE TRUTH ABOUT AFRICAHOPE you all enjoy.My name is Prince Robinson, age 23 artistically known as Self-Xplanatory (SX) and I am originally from Flint, Michigan. My partners Hakiem tha God, Hp, Big Lue and I formed a hip-hop group known as "Ill Grid" in the year 1994, which was the year I started to learn how to write, rhyme, and formulate songs. One of my partners, Big Lue also known as Potential, and I became a duo group by the name of ’The Watchers’ in the year 1998. Performances were established at local clubs in the cities of Huntsville, Decatur, and Birmingham Alabama.
As time went on I became a solo artist and began my individual journey towards recognition in the music industry. Graduating from Butler High School, in the year 1999., I came in contact with my current solo/duo partner by the name of Brian McMillan also known as ’Mickey Knots’. We formed a duo group by the name of Raw Uncut. We performed shows at places such as Alabama A & M University, Alabama A & M University of Florida, Kings Reggae House, 2003 Car show in Huntsville, Alabama and The Warehouse.
MY ASPIRATIONS
Hip Hop’s artistical standpoint in it’s present state does not have the many great presences left that are still creating music strongly. Amongst the newbreed of mc’s, lyricist, and artist I have fulfilled the genre’s and expectancy of the fans who lust for the originality of hip hop music. There seems to be an elusive factor missing from the music industry in these days and times which is evidently my presence.Presently I write screenplays, songs, comicbooks, have a clothing line that I’m getting off the ground, have a female calendar buisness and record in the studio as often every week as I can. Entrepreneurship is what compels me to work hard. I am a very persistent, inventive, and creative person. Humorism is one of my strong points as well as, persistence. Buisness always comes first in my sacred book before anything else. Often I have a problem with not relaxing at all because I’d rather handle buisness in order to speed up the process in life. If I can’t live on this physical plane financially rich, to equate with the richness of knowledge that I’ve attained, then I would rather not live.
