EDGAR is a story of a meeting between two people after a tragic event. Nearly a year after her only child's murder, Ana decides to face the young man who killed her son. The young man, who's facing life in prison, knows he must confront the consequences of his crime, which in the end proves harder then they both imagined.Native Chicagoan Luis Alberto Perez was born a visionary. Growing up in a working class neighborhood with an ..art imitates life.. intellect. Luis would spend hours on end creating stories armed with only toys and the environment surrounding him. Using his toys as characters, props, and locations, his film influences ranged from sci-fi, fantasy, and martial arts genres in order to give his own stories a universal appeal. With a desire to create stories for everyone, this intellect followed him throughout his adolescence into his post teen years as a college student at Columbia College Chicago. A film major with a concentration in both directing and producing, he used these childhood influences as a blueprint for the founding principals of his company, Beyond Entertainment. Just as the name of the company, Luis aims to create films that not only entertain, but to stimulate and educate his audiences on varying points of view. Choosing not to be judgmental with his characters, but using them to convey a possibility of alternative perspectives. Currently in production of his new film titled...EDGAR.
