YYYEEEEEEAAAAHHHHHH!!!
We are the first organisation dedicated to positively pushing the Krump movement in the UK. Many people have decided to call themselves 'Krumpers' without actually researching the history or understanding the Krump way of life. This is exploiting the reason why Krump was originally created and is diluting and demeaning the Krump culture. We are here to ensure that everybody has the opportunity to understand this dance phenomenon as well as providing information on Performers, Tutors, Krump sessions and events where you can learn more and 'get buck' with the UK's finest!
We, the KRUMP JUNKIES have offifcially banned the following:
1. BOOTY SHAKING - This is not Krump. SIMPLE.
2. WEAK CHEST POPS/BODY HITS - Either you want to dance or you don't, it's time for you to make up your mind!
3. BIRDY FLAPPING - Random flapping of the arms like you're about to take off never did constitute a strong dance style. In this case, it will not pass for Krump either.
4. FACE PAINTING - There is a difference between Clown and Krump dancers. Although we respect and honour the clown movement, face painting is not neccessary for Krump dancers as the 'here and now' attitude is fundamental within the style - i.e no-one is trying to wait for you to put on your silver eyeliner before you get down.
5. DISRESPECT OF THE ART - Unless you are first generation Krump (Check out the first 3 people on the top friends list for examples) then you have absolutely no right to dictate on how Krump should be managed in the UK. Ideas are always welcome, as are collaborations but NOT dictations...This is a KRUMPOCRACY Goddamnit. Cyphers,Battles and Competitions between us are what keeps us on our toes and ensures that we individually strive to be the best dancers we can be ....HOWEVER.... The ability to respect all that contribute positively to this movement is what keeps the heart of Krump beating and allows the blood of creativity to flow. We need to come together to create a strong and lasting foundation in the UK without the arrogance and big-headedness - Simple.
