I started playing music at the age of three in a class learning simple rythyms with percusion instruments, Glockenschpiel and singing. At age four I started Piano. This lasted four years with me kicking and screaming every Saturday morning on our way to Piano lessons. I honestly don't remember a thing I learned in that four years, but I do believe it gave me the "ear" I have today. All the while with Piano lessons I kept telling my parents that I wanted to play Drums, so.....they took me to GUITAR LESSONS !?. This lasted only three weeks. The teacher said he had to teach me "Mary had a little lamb" and such, but I wanted to play ROCK and ROLL !!!. Finally, at eight years old I got my first set of Drums...Yay!. From the moment I sat down behind them I knew how to play. Never ever took any lessons. Drums stuck for many years and many different bands untill I was about twenty years old. I always sang in the bands I played with from behind the drums...back-ups and a few lead vocals till..... New band.....started rehersals with a singer who struggled to sing top 40, let alone memorize any lyrics in two weeks....sheesh!. Had one week left till our first booked gig!. So.... we fired the singer, hired a new drummer and I went out front to sing. Basically I've been fronting bands since then and after one year I had to do something with my hands (being a drummer first), I bought a guitar and learned to play on my own terms (by ear)....ROCK and ROLL !!!. Today, I sing and play acoustic and electric guitars. Drumming is still a part of me but, I have come to terms with the fact that I am a singer now.......that plays guitar. Currently I am playing in a cover band called Velocity. We play the top nite clubs in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I also sing for the Ron Paley Big Band. With Ron's band, we play alot of corporate shows, fund raisers, weddings....etc. The big band consists of a 15 piece Brass section, Percussion ,Keys, Bass, Drums and Guitar.
