About Me
Saxophonist/composer Darren Gholston releases his debut CD for Indie Label, G Street Records, "D's Mood." Co-produced by Darren with Darnell Gholston and the last track entitled "Talk to Me", produced by Grammy Nominated Artist Doc Powell. The title track D’s Mood was written for and about his wife. “It is my musical interpretation of what she brings to me; her strength and confidence to step up to any challenge that she may be confronted with matched with her loving, caring, passionate and giving spirit is the essence of D’s Mood.â€For Darren, this project has been a labor of love that has been long awaited. “It is the culmination of years of playing to get to the point of finally having my true voice heard. Having the ability to record each track the way I wanted and share it with everyone possible is wonderful. Each track is a representation of how I was feeling at that particular moment in time. We all have different moods and I wanted to create music that would allow me to take a ride through those moods without changing my course. My hope is that this project will allow you to express all of your moods.â€Darren Gholston is native to California. He was born into a musical family, the middle son of three children, all of which are talented musicians, due to their parent’s musical influence.
