In the beginning . . .
• Late 2005, Karl had written a number of poems which he thought might sound good as songs. Karl took the idea to Jerome to start coming up with musical ideas for his poetry. About a year later, Karl met Billy while on a computer training course, and took Billy for a jam at an unsuspecting Jerome's place.
Marc and Jozie (friends of Karl & Jerome) being there at the right time, Smokin Bones was formed at the end of July '06. A four piece band playing original sounds.
One must notice, that Karl only owns the rights to his lyrics and not to the whole song composed by Smokin' Bones.

Ryder, The Eagles, Van Halen, Iron Maiden, Racer X, The Doors, Joe Cocker, Bob Dylan, Syd Barett, Frank Zappa, Kate Bush, Steve Vai, Eric Clapton, Opeth, Type-O-Negative... Karl's ultimate are Pink Floyd.

*BILLY ~ Guitar, Vocals.

• Billy wrote some of the first riffs in the band. He started off a major Pink Floyd and Metallica fan, Then Jerome started bombarding him with a stack of different weird and wonderful influences. A big fan of the 60's and 70's rock.
• Billy's Fav's - Syd Barrett, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Frank Zappa, The Beatles, etc. Billy also loves bands that take a look outside the square....
but Billy's main sweet love is PINK FLOYD
* JOZIE ~ Drums. • Powerhouse monster grooves straight from a year at music school. She had a few jams with Blue V and is also the Bassist for Schizo-Phrenia. Another one whose influences are as diverse as the colours of the rainbow.
• Jozie’s Fav's- Slayer, Pantera, Pluto, the Reggae greats, a bit of Jazz...

* MARC ~ Bass.

• Ever since Fist Fucked By Aliens, Marc's Drop-A tuned 5string has carried on through Blue V and now brings that twisted rumble to Smokin' Bones. He came onto the scene as guitarist in Blue V, eventually swapping jobs with Jerome to be drummer for a while. Also the Drummer for Schizo-Phrenia and Hexensohn, he has also been on drums for Wolfsblade and Culzean,

* JEROME ~ Vocals, Guitar.

• Jerome performs his own songs with the band Hexensohn . Also a member of Blue V , Jerome started way back as lead guitarist for Hideously Disfigured, drummer for G.F.N.R. and Wolfsblade eventually shifting to guitar, along with a bunch of other bands.
