About Me

Beauty...Brilliance...Artistry...Power!Now where do I begin? I decided that I would have a career as a singer when I was about 3 or 4 years old, or maybe I just always knew. Then at about age 9 or so I decided I would also be a doctor of some kind. Since I was raised to believe that I could do anything I set my mind to, it never once occurred to me that I could not do both, and it still hasn't occurred to me yet. So, yes, I did become a doctor…but more about my other professions (yes, that was plural) later (got to keep folks guessing after all).I guess the best way to describe me is multi-faceted. I am a vocalist, vocal coach, music producer, film producer, film director, music arranger, instrumentalist (flute, violin, piccolo, piano), business owner (2 of them), former model, educator, writer, dancer, world traveler (multiple times), consultant, public speaker...oh and loving daughter, sister, wife... and mommy to my kitty cat.I am blessed to have received the ACE Woman of the Year Award and the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2004 from Marygrove College. Also, I was a consultant for the Artist Empowerment Coalition (NY) in 2003, and a former faculty in the Music Department and in the Institute for Music and Dance at Marygrove College in Detroit. I received my Bachelors Degree in Music as a Voice Performance Major, participated internationally as well as regionally and locally in voice and flute competitions, and toured internationally and nationally as a soloist with the Marygrove Chamber Singers.Currently, I am president and founder of Celeste Productions, Inc., occasionally coach professional vocalists in my private studio, play violin and viola with a group of women called the Violin Divas, and am a member of the advisory board for the Detroit Youth Concert Choir Performing Arts Organization.Through my production company, I released my debut album (and music video for the first single), on which I produced, wrote, arranged, sang and played, at the beginning of October 2007.If I have to describe the entire album, I would say it’s rocky and soulful, it’s bluesy and jazzy, with a hip hop feel and “world” beats. From beginning to end, there are lots of un-expected surprises. Intriguing...isn't it? In the meantime, enjoy the sounds of my first single and let me know what you think!

Sounds Like: A strong vocalist/producer/writer/arranger/instrumentalist with a beautiful voice that's clear as a bell. On this debut album, the first song raps urban style and the final song has her singing a soprano high A. It rocks. Its funky. Its dance music. Its bluesy. Its jazzy. Its soulful, but thought provoking...and always, always positive. It sounds like nothing else out there...Its fresh, its new, its needed. If you just have to label it, call it: Good Music; Head-Noddin' Music; Or better yet...Don't try to categorize it...Just Enjoy It!
