About Me

Yell Or Trolley... debut EP ... Shake The Branches ... CD now available...
ESCAPE ON A MOTORBIKE
paint your lips
fingertips
in the mirror
just a spritz
zip your boots up
you’re gonna change them three more times
hurry up
to the front
in the doorway
on the porch
grab your jacket
it’s the blackest out tonight
oh
sometimes what you need is what you want is what you got
just a ride away from everything
a motorbike
once we’re off and alone
all our worries left at home
there’s a story to be told
a new chapter on the road
there’s a limit
we can hit it if we
crack the throttle
then will know it
now is the time to escape on a motorbike
sometimes what you need is what you want is what you got
just a ride away from everything
a motorbike
it’s the only way to fly
the only way to fly
the only way
the only way
the only way to
feel the wind in your hair
so hold on tighter
there’s no doubt about it
we’re going faster
and the lights are blurring
like a flair that’s burning
we’ll disappear into the night
oh
LADY VEGAS
lady vegas
she’s a roller
in a fever
she’s a showgirl
in a painted town of lights
she’s here to greet you
she’ll keep you up all night
she’s come to teach you
heavy silver
in your pocket
burning holes
‘bout to drop it
spread your wealth around
she’ll take you all in
chase your losses down
to buy some new sin
if you come to play you better have your game on
there’s nothing like the real deal
spin the wheel around there’s no telling what you’ll land on
if you want to win her
you better lay your money on the line
what’s here today
is gone tomorrow
implode the old
build and borrow
minted fresh again
they put the shine on
brand new coin to spend
one more time on
she used to run
through the meadows
now she struts
in stilettos
little girl trapped within
ooh she’s all grown up
she’s become the sin
oh yeah she’s blown up
if you come to play you better have your game on
there’s nothing like the real deal
spin the wheel around there’s no telling what you’ll land on
oh you little sinner
you better lay your money on the line
the jewel of the desert
diamonds and hearts
kings and queens
pawns and sharks
and you can win
if you play
she’s a roller
NOVELTY RIDE
they’ve been on this ride
for far too long now
the time has come
they’ll go around last time
they’ll ride again oh
but they don’t know
when they go down
when they hit the ground
the time has come
their time has come
and when they go down
when they hit the ground
their time has come
their time has come
their time has come
run
far from here
run
disappear
the brakes have failed again
you’re in a fatal spin
your tickets punched
your time has come
gravity pulls them
no one controls them oh
your time has come
your time has come
when they go down
when they hit the ground
your time has come
your time has come
and when they go down
when the hit the ground
your time has come
your time has come
run
far from here
run
disa…
CHANGE THE GUARD
this is a call to brothers in armchairs watching the world go by
we've seen this before and we know better
we've been on the sideline far too long
reel home the boss and tell him he's lost
it's time for another name
a calm hand to guide a steady future
a leader with a voice of reason
go change the guard
go change the guard
this is a call to sisters with babes in arms
ours is a new tomorrow
we'll hold the reins and shake the branches
ours is the youth with new ideas
reel home the boss and tell her the laws have called to arms a population
a leader with a voice of reason
a leader for a new tomorrow
go change the guard
go change the guard
SELLMAN
we’re gonna get to you
come to where you are
knock knock at your door
so don’t be so afraid
we might just sell you
everything
for pennies on your
dollar bill
what a steal
oh ah
we’re gonna get to you
come to where you hide
your hard earned dollars
what you want to buy
i’ve got three of
everything
oh ah
charlie’s got conflict what’s the situation
he’s looking like he’s seen a better day than this one
stand back
tell him if you can ‘cause i don’t know if i can face him
sellman
knocking at your door if you open you can save him
stand back sell man
DRAWN BACK
all you dogs with your photo cards
here comes the man on the six foot stilts
our world is like a strange parade
a circus show for young and old but
no master can tame that beast
no beast can contain its instincts
running wild in red hot blood
saliva drips from drawn back lips
saliva drips from drawn back lips
ooh
snarl call in the marble hall
order comes but not for long
a line is drawn by a broken arm
the hand that held the smoking gun but
no master can tame that beast
no beast can contain its instincts
running wild in red hot blood
saliva drips from drawn back lips
saliva drips from drawn back lips
ooh
WATERLOO
lover come and lay me down
i’m back from my waterloo
feet up off the ground
my head on a pillow
cool touch of your hand
soothing my friction away
i’ve had enough thinking
i’ve come back from the scene of the doom with my
tail between and i’m licking my wounds, but if you
heal me now, heal me now
i’ll be ready for battle
i always knew i’d face my enemies
but i never thought i’d face my nemeses
so if you heal me now
heal me now
i’ll be ready for battle
so clean the cut
stitch me up
fill my cup
won’t you now
clean the cut
stitch me up
fill my cup
won’t you now

Totally Local
"Yell Or Trolley tugs a train of local talent through Live"

"Yell or Trolley, a Monterey band, represents pretty proudly with hooky, ironic music that has that sedate/brash thing down to a tee, like a controlled burn."

Yell Or Trolley debuted in the spring of 2007 at The First Annual Rock & Rod Festival at The Monterey Fairgrounds.

One year later YOT began working on a studio EP. They ventured south to San Diego to work with Producer Mario Quintero after hearing the work coming out of Black Box Studios from bands like Transfer, Archways, and Hialeah.

The result is their seven song debut entitled Shake The Branches released on the 4th of July on Tunevision Records. CDs are available at shows.
