I've got an agenda on myspace. I'm trying to help launch my new animated series, that you can current watch some teasers of online. We're trying to do something unique with this show.
I'll try and break it down quickly:
It's a show about a lifelong friend of mine. Well a few of 'em:
It's called: Joe is Japanese
Japanese mom + Irish dad = Joe McCunney.
He’s Japanese.

Joe is Japanese is based on the (mostly) true life adventures, of a 35 year old boy who firmly believes he has to grow up. This is a biographical story following a “hafu-breed†raised in Asia and never able to fit into any culture. We’re creating this anime as an effort to share understandings, and the lack thereof, between societies around this pebble we call “Earth.†This story is our way of giving back some of what we’ve learned, and how we might preserve the memories we may otherwise forget.
The collective stories of Joe is Japanese continue to be compiled by the reclusive “Island Masta†and his cracker-jack animation crew. These life-long comrades of Joe’s now work to chronicle the (somewhat) true events of Joe and his friends, lovers, enemies, and surrounding companions. Bear in mind that fabrication is quite possibly the norm and a full disclaimer can be found in the FAQ section. But if it helps you to watch the show believing that everything is true, next time I’m on Oprah, I will continue the facade...
