INTRODUCTIONI was born a babe and raised from childhood to manhood. As I gained my manhood I set set off into the world to live my life.I have been a son, a friend, a lover, and a brother. I have lived and I will die. What truths I have learned, what wisdom I have gained are mine to share or take to the grave.But, perhaps, this is not the story you have come to hear. Perhaps it shares none of the life you expected to find.All right then, I shall tell you more of what I have to share. More secrets and more truths. More of the wisdom I have found. More of the life that is mine.This is my life, my story. A story of ending. A story of beginning. Of death and rebirth. I relate it not, perhaps, as it occurred, but as I remember. I follow the threads of memory where they weave and bind. The tapestry of my life too vast and boundless for my understanding, my comprehension. I remember it in pieces like quilted patchwork. Some memories concise moments in time, some memories weave through the years, disjointed and unsequenced. This is how I remember and this is how I must tell them.I began my journey without understanding that it was a journey. It was a single step that put me on a path a could not see. A path that would lead me far from home and bring me back to me, to where I am and what I've become. What I have accomplished I cannot say, for all that I've done, I've done in the moment, and each moment has passed away. This is how I began my journey, my life. Unaware and uncomprehending. With an instinctive decision decided in a moment.I have worried at the end of truth's thread, working it free of the woven fabric of lies and misunderstanding. This is the thread I have followed as I have woven my own path, my own story. My own life. This thread of truth is what I've followed home, what has lead me back to me.
