1st music group i got in2 was the Prodigy. Picked up their album 'experience' and never put it down! This was about the same time that i had got into Happy Hardcore when i got handed a Dreamscape tape. Got hooked on the stuff!Wasn't long before i made the transition to Drum n Bass. Went to Galstonbury in 2000 and saw my 1st live DnB act - Mickey Finn and MC Fearless! Will never 4get it to this day, was 15 years old at the front 'avin it!That set left me wantin more. i managed to get hold of a Swanee and Frenzic Helter Skelter tape which i rinsed every minute of every day. got hold of sum other tapes from a m8's sister and by now i was properly loveing the sounds of DnB.in may 2001, a group of us went to 1nation @ Bagelys - it was the best musical night of my life.1st set of decks i bought were a pair of gemini belt drives and i attempted to mix on them, although it took me over a year to really get into it.i got my 1st set with the 36chamber crew (www.36thchamber.co.uk) at their local weekly night. Here i met Shaoulin Drunken Monk and the crew, aswell as DJ Vapour who has had a big influence on my Dj'in.i started to play out at house parties and mates birthdays etc and i started to build up my dj'in confidencei moved to Uni in Bristol in 2003 and in my 3rd year i started a night with my mate Olly. In September 2005 Phixation was born. We have had guests including Pendulum, Mampi Swift, TC, Generation Dub, Nicky Blackmarket, Bailey, Nero, Total Science, 23DJ, DJ Vapour 2-face and Shaoulin Drunken Monk and myself S.U.P.our Phixation radio show is broadcasted every Friday night 7-9pm on www.grandtheft.audio.co.uk hosted by Phixations resident, DJ 2-FaceTo date i have dj'd for Phixation, 36th Chamber, Unleashed, Break, Ambush, Out Of The Box and Glitchnight, playing @ venues including Native, Timbuk2, Lakota, Arc Bar, Blue Mountain, Elbow Rooms and next @ Venom nightclub on the 29th december!None of this would have been possible without the help and support from my girl Nicky who has been there from day 1 - thanks for believin in me!
