Darrin Love is a singer, songwriter, and guitar player from Houston, TX. After years of honing his skills in various clubs, festivals, and showcases throughout the south, Darrin enrolled at Berklee College of Music on a four-year scholarship to refine his craft and to ultimately find his musical voice. After his time at Berklee, Darrin decided to begin his pursuit of a career in music.
For the last few months, Darrin has been at the drawing board writing for an EP that will showcase his newfound depth as an artist. The EP will include all new songs that will feature Darrin on guitar and vocals, Kevin Lovejoy (John Mayer, Spoon) playing keys, Matt Johnson (Jeff Buckley, Rufus Wainwright) and JJ Johnson (Doyle Bramhall 2nd, John Mayer) on drums, Tommy Detamore on pedal steel, and Eric Jarvis producing and playing mandolin and bass.
As any listener will tell you, from the moment you hear Darrin’s music, you are immediately drawn in by a comfortable familiarity combined with a fresh approach to today’s music. Timeless and honest, Darrin’s music is both deeply rooted and unmistakably contemporary.
