On a dark and stormy Saturday afternoon two music lovers were trawling through radio stations trying to find a place where they could hang their musical hats. They were looking for a show that would satisfy their thirst for the diverse. A place where you could find the likes of Hanne Hukkelberg cuddling up to Thomas Tallis, or Steve Reich sharing a moment with Tom Waits, side-by-side and playing a gamelan. A place that wasn't afraid to bill Bach with Bjork. The solution was clear - build it and they will come.
So the music lovers built. Music from all the corners of the world lovingly crafted into two hours of internet radio joy - sometimes with live guests, sometimes with just a large stack of good tunes. Late Luncheon with Helen and Barnaby was born.* * NEWS * *
