I am interested in being interesting. All those that are interested in my interests please, ask me someting interesting.
Honest people who don't talk shit behind others backs.
I have this thing with listening to the same old music and never finding anything new to listen to. That could be Brian's fault in the fact that he's always picking the CD's we listen to and they're always Rockabilly, vintage country, or recently he's been on this kick listening to bands like The Boweevils and Ghoti Hook. To tell you the truth, and I'm sure you're all going to be shocked by this, I like to listen to the ladies of country. I like the Dixie Chicks, Faith Hill, Gretchen Wilson, and Shania Twain; I also like the one song of KT Tunstall's.But I do love classic rock as well...Aerosmith, ACDC, Jefferson Airplane, Janis Joplin, Led Zepplin, etc. I also love listening to the Robin CD over and over again (who remembers her?) along with the Grease, Stand by Me, Cry Baby, and Dirty Dancing soundtracks. Some of my favorite Rockabilly bands right now are the obvious: Rev. Horton Heat, Hank III, Stray Cats, etc. I also like the Long Beach Dub Allstars, and this great band called the Slaptones (some girls from Sweden), & Gwen Stefani/No Doubt is one of my favorites.I'll tell you what I WON'T listen to - and that's EMO, Techno, most rap, and most of this shitty music that's on Q101 right now.
I have Netflix, but I haven't been watching movies very much lately since I started at my second job in the evenings. I recently bought the old Alice in Wonderland (not the cartoon) that we used to watch as kids, and Rock N Rock Highschool Forever (with Corey Feldman) - I love anything with Corey Feldman or Corey Haim. I recently saw the Nightmare Before Christmas in 3D - that was cool. I just bought Brian House of a 1000 Corpses for his Bday, I'm too scared to watch it though. One movie I recently saw, which is older, is The Grudge. Stupidest movie I ever did see! I still love Lifetime movies, just wish I had cable so I could watch them.
I have no cable...not even basic. Which, I know I know, it's free. But my TV doesn't get it in and I'm too cheap and lazy to go buy bunny ears. So absolutely NO TV for me - which is probably better anyways cuz I would laze in front of it all day if I could.Right now Brian and I have taken to just watching the whole freaking season on DVD. I've watch The Office, Family Guy, Big Love, and Weeds most recently. I'd love to get Grey's Anatomy too.
I read a lot of magazines, especially during the slow season (right now) at work. But I also read a lot of books. Mainly autobiographies, biographies, memoirs, and non-fiction. I hate mystery and romance books, but love books on vampires and real life ghost stories. My all time favorite books are The Color Purple (I've read it many times) and These is My Words. Great books.
My husband Brian is my hero, literally, he's a fireman and he saves lives.
