It all began in October 2006 when we formed the band then we were called Universal Politics. After a few practices we alredy wrote a song called : Why don't you. Our first gig was Kóparokk and that was in November. After Kóparokk the wheels started turning we wrote 2 more songs and we were covering some songs with Muse. In February 2007 we recorded two songs and were soon to be taking place in MúsÃktilraunir. We went to MúsÃktilraunir but did not succed. We wrote a few more songs and in the summer we played on 17.June. After the summer we started playing again but shortly after we started again we dismissed our bass player and got a new one (Gauti). We played in a small school concert with few other bands and for the first time with our new bass player. Just before Christmas we competed in a song competition in our school and we won with our new song. In January 2008 we competed in Samfés ÃTK, with our song (Delusional) and got the third place and got trough to the main competition in Laugardalshöll. We changed our name in to SPIRAL.In August 2008 the drummer (Jonni) moved to Sweden to study.But it didnt take a long time to find a new drummer,his name is Birgir but we call him ¨bibbi¨.He is still playing with us now and we are currently writing new songs and we are going to try to get our music out to the public
