Sounds Like: cuemix Magazine says:
"This album is one of the most surprising releases of 2008! This is German Hip Hop with an attitude, aggressive without using the known "Beep" words, militant without using guns. Egogrill's debut by Rapper Omega Takeshi and producer bit-tuner is a razor-sharp appraisal of our community. But unlike to the known mainstream appendage this duo uses words and lyrics most of you haven't heard before or forgotten. This is music with a real Hip-Hop attitude, sometimes near to the golden days of the beginning of Hip-Hop combined with the spirit of the straight edge Hardcore days. The lyrics are the rebirth of the play on words like the "Fehlfarben" did a long time ago.
Too many comparisons?
But believe me its hard too find words for such a fantastic album that goes deep under your skin and in your brain and blood like dextrose. Fiery lyrics, honest lyrics, sometimes the message is clear sometimes you have to listen carefully to decode it. The music is cleverly arranged, powerful but wisely weighted so there's enough room for the words.
Twelve tracks, each stand for itself as a declaration and a work of art. Work of art? Yes you've heard right, besides the honest attitude of "Nur ein Monster hat keine Angst vor sich selbst" you have to see the complete work also as a kind of art. Because it leaves the well-known paths and works as a catalyst, bringing roughness, statements, simple and multilayered words to daylight.
This is one of the albums you should be after - a revolution and a statement. Don't say I haven't told you!
Perfect 10+++ "
DEAD Magazine VI sagt:
