Place of birth: Athens, Greece Date of birth: June 26, 1977 STUDIES She graduated from the 13th Lyceum of Athens (Greece), in 1995. 1995-2000 • In 1995, she started her musical studies, in the “National Conservatory of Athens”, taking courses of Classical Piano, Classical Theory, Classical Harmony and History of Music for five years. • She also took Lessons of Classical Singing for three years. 1998 - 2004 In 1998 she started studying Jazz Music in “Athenaeum Conservatory”, taking Voice Lessons and Jazz Repertoire with Sofia Noiti, Jazz Improvisation, Jazz Phrasing, Jazz Harmony and Workshops with Sylvios Syrros, Jazz Piano with George Kontrafouris, Dimitris Kalantzis and George Katsanos, History of Jazz with Zack Samuel and lastly Theory of Jazz, Ear-training and Dictée with Tasos Zois. She graduated from the Jazz School of Athenaeum Conservatory in 2004, taking an A degree in her Diploma. Her teachers have distinguished her for her special skills in the following: • Excellent Prima Vista • Excellent rhythmic, melodic and harmonic comprehension, acoustic memory • Fluency in Dictée (melody and chords) • Dynamic and touching singing performance SEMINARS She has attended seminars on Voice Technique and basic knowledge of speech therapy with Alison Bagnall and Elnta Koutsoubaki respectively, as well as seminars on Jazz Singing Improvisation and Jazz Phrasing with the famous Jazz vocalist Sheila Jordan. THEATRICAL STUDIES She took Theater Courses for three years during her musical studies in “Athenaeum Conservatory” with the well-known Greek actress Karmen Rougeri (playing on TV series and in the theater) and Sofia Kakarelidou (actress of the Experimental Greek National Theater),, including lessons of Stage Performance and Speech training. FOREIGN LANGUAGES • English (Certificate of Proficiency of Cambridge) • German (Kleines Deutsches Sprachdiplom) CONCERTS She has participated in more than 50 Concerts of the Musical Workshops in “Athenaeum Concservatory”, and she has also performed with her band “Vanessa Quintet” in various music scenes such as: Fones, Parafono, Baraki tou Vasili, Estoudiantina, etc. COLLABORATIONS She has collaborated with many important and well-known musicians of various music genres (jazz, blues, funk, soul, rock, Greek artistic music) such as: Serafeim Bellos (drums), Filipos Poulimenos (Tenor Sax), Manos Loutas (bass), Kostas Kouvidis (drums), Giorgos Mikros (Jazz piano), Giannis Kasetas (Alto Sax), etc. TEACHING She teaches Vocal Lessons and Repertoire (Jazz, Blues, Funk, Soul, Rock, and Pop), Theory of Classical and Jazz Music, Music Scores Reading, Ear-training, Dictée. Since 2005 she teaches lessons of Jazz Theory, Jazz Rhythmic Solfege and Jazz Phrasing as an assistant of the very well-known and significant Greek Jazz singer Sofia Noiti, in “Athenaeum Conservatory”. AIMS To have a professional career as a Singer, singing different genres of Greek and Foreign music, to participate in discography, live performances and any musical activity which expresses her.
