About Me


Brother LukeI was born in Stockwell, London to Jamaican Immigrants who moved to the UK in the 60`s.Having Jamaican parents, music has always been a strong influence in my life.I First got into DJing through the sound systems in the early Eighties where I used to select for the DJ. I then started doing warehouse parties in the Mid Eighties when Rare Groove took off and at that time I also started doing private parties (Blues parties). I have to date played on the same bill as Norman Jay, Harvey The Vinyl Junkie, Rocky and Diesel, LTJ Bukem, Bob Jones, Lofty to name a few. I have also been one of the DJ's for a Roy Ayers gig. I have DJed at the following places in the UK; Neighbourhood ( London, Formerly Subterranea), Ministry Of Sound ( London), Spice Lounge ( Milton Keynes). Funky Butts (Brighton) The Notting Hill Carnival, Sanctuary ( Milton Keynes),Jazzy Keks ( Blackburn),Winter Gardens ( Milton Keynes), Metros ( Milton Keynes) and various bars & clubs for Flip The Script including a night at LTJ Bukem's night at The Ministry.I came to Dublin in 2003 and since being in Dublin have played at Dakota, 4 Dame Lane, Carnival, The Village,Soul 28, Henry Grattons,Eamonn Dorans, Bia Bar, Zanzibar, Mischief,Traffic,Bar Mizu, Temple Bar Music Centre, Anseo, Cornerstone, Hogans, Thomas house and Parties for UCD and some private parties.My DJing influences are people like Norman Jay Giles Peterson, Patrick Forge, David Rodigan, Paul 'Trouble' Anderson and Russ Drewberry, Benji Moone.This is a Brief Description of the music I play - Reggae, Latin, Hip-Hop, Jazz, Boogie, Mash Up, Nu-Soul.Tings I love - My Sons Ross & Sebastian, Old School Sneakers, Fashion, Spurs Nuff Said, Me dun.
