Expert tailor, twenty years experience.
My career started way back in 1988 at the tender age of 17.
I did my apprenticeship at a bespoke tailors in leafy St albans.I started as a finisher then went on to be a bespoke trouser maker,over the years i progressed on to other garments such as jackets,skirts and waistcoats.
I moved to London in 1994 and took a break from tailoring due to a recession at the time,I got a job in Harrods as a sales assistant which boosted my confidence in dealing with clients.I was also still making clothes privately.
After two years i decided to go back into tailoring full time and started to work for an Italian menswear company,Ermenigildo Zegna as alteration tailor.
After a year i grew tired of working just on mens clothes so I went on to work for Angels and Bermans costumiers.Where i produced garments for stage and screen.It was a good experience and I also learnt lots of new tailoring skills.
I then decided to go back in to mainstream fashion and got a job working for Emporio Armani as a fitter/alteration tailor.I stayed with the company for almost six years.
My aim was always to work for well known name in fashion and due to a spot of luck i came across a position on the internet.I went for the interview at an agency and the company turned out to be Dolce and Gabanna.I've been working there for just over two years.
It's been a rewarding job where i get to meet and deal with a number of high profile and celebrity clients.such as Madonna and just recently kylie minogue.
I continue to have my own private clients and hope sometime in the future to have my own business.
