No Entry Biography:
2000, the year that eternal damnation would destroy the earth. But that didn't happen... Or did it? No Entry was formed in the 2000 by Rik, Roel and Reinier. They didn't have a goal, they never had a reason. They just felt like getting a few friends together to make some music. They surpressed the strong urge to call themselves "R3". At that time, Roel was playing guitar, and Rik and Reinier did the vocals. Or at least, intended to... After some time of doing absolutely nothing, they saw an opportunity to play a single song on a musical event from their school. They used the drummer and bassplayer from Roel's other band. After this show, they decided that hardcore was the way to go. They made some changes in the line-up and did a few small shows and contests. Sip entered as the bass player, Dirk as the drummer and Rik gave up singing and picked up the guitar. No Entry was officially born.
After a period of lots of shows with the likes of Tech 9, Right Direction, The Spades and Born From Pain, Reinier had to leave the formation for six months. Being one of the brave defenders of our great country, he had to serve in Bosnia. So now No Entry had a small problem. They didn't want to sit on their fat asses for six months, so they asked their buddy "@[email protected]" (KnÄckEbrÖdhÖfd singer and No Entry fan at that time) to try and replace Reinier during his leave of absense. That went even better then they thought and when Reinier returned, the question was popped! @[email protected] happily accepted...
Continuing as a 6-piece, they realised they could do stuff they couldn't do before. No Entry took the first steps to a higher level. A new sound. Rik and Roel started really working on the advantages of having two guitar players. And the double-vocalists concept was being stretched to the max. After a long search for the new sound, the best possible match was found in a cross between hardcore and punk. A new type of hardcore. With more depth, more soul. Like the infamous daywalker, No Entry got the best of two worlds.
Unfortunately, Dirk could not keep up with the new No Entry. His education forced him to give up rehearsing at home. And in the beginning of 2004 we realised it was only a matter of time... We did a few more shows, and one giant, big blow-out. We gracefully said thank you and goodbye to Dirk. Our partner in musical crime for over four years.
After a few weeks of searching for a new drummer, we decided Cas (Dawn Of Mankind) was the best man for the job. We started playing the old shit with him, which he performed flawlessly. After that, we kept raising the bar higher and higher, pushing our levels of performing higher every time. We got more demanding, but our work payed off.
Since the very beginning, No Entry has been a party-band. Not only when playing live, but also in the rehearsal room. Rehearsing was more than just playing music. It became a weekly ritual to relief some tention and just get together with "the guys" and have some fun. That hasnt changed since. And we ain't about to change now.
In September 2005 No Entry recorded their first demo at Dé Studio (Belgium), which they released February 2006. This demo contains 3 songs and is called "To perceive is to suffer". Renewed and reborn, No Entry is ready to "Unleash The Fury" across this planet. Energetic and heavily motivated, they will be playing more shows starting early 2006. Be sure to check 'em out at their shows!
