About Me

A good friend of mine wrote and sent me an inspirational message that made me think about how ephemeral things really are, and how much we should cherish every moment while we're here, alive, on this earth. His name is Zeeshan, and I thank him for sending me this. Here's the note:"Yes, most of our lives we struggle, work hard, and sacrifice to achieve our dreams. It is as if we walk through the barren desert, knowing and hoping that our path will lead us to a beautiful oasis, where the roses bloom, and the trees provide us shade and a reprieve from the brutal sun.On this path we meet so many people, yet there are many more that will forever be unknown to us. There are over six billion people on this planet and there is a one in six billion chance that you have met me. From the few people that we actually get to know, some walk in and of out our life in mere seconds, others stay a month, a few a year, and the rare individual a lifetime. Our life is merely a collection of moments. Moments when we are all alone, moments when we feel overwhelmed and defeated, moments we share with our friends and family, moments we share with God, moments of intense pain and hurt that seem eternal, moments of hope, moments of joy, moments of love, and moments of nirvana that seem so fleeting. And then there comes a moment that marks the end of all moments: A moment that may be a release from the trials and tribulations of life, a moment that marks the end. I hope that you enjoy all the moments between now and then.Yes, life is a long journey full of surprises, and although all of us take different paths, our destination is all the same."
