Riding a killer roller-coaster, beers on a boat in the middle of a lake on a hot summer day, laughing my ass off at a stupid yet hilarious joke, listening to The Joshua Tree from start to finish and still loving it as much as I did in 1987.
I love to chat with witty, humorous and all-around super funny and interesting people. The wackier your sense of humor, the better.
I'm a child of the 80's and it shows a lot in my music tastes. Although I'm more of a fan of the quirkier 80's and early 90's artists. . . . Janes Addiction, The Pixies, The Jesus and Mary Chain, etc. I like some hip-hop and rap . . Eminem, Nelly, Outkast. . but most of it is too "gangsta" for me. I love everything from Rob Thomas to Gwen Stefani to Howie Day to Barry Manilow to Nine Inch Nails to Dave Matthews. I was born into a musical family and I can't remember not loving music. My tastes are very eclectic.

Being the mom of a 4-year old and 1-year old, my movie viewing days are very limited. However, I ADORE the John Hughes movies of the 80's. . .Sixteen Candles, Breakfast Club, Weird Science, etc. Thelma and Louise is also an all-time favorite. I'm not overly critical about movies. . .I don't think I've ever walked out of one and I can only think of a few that I can say I really didn't like. I'm not a fan of "time period" movies (Dances With Wolves, Gladiator). . actually, let me amend that. I never want to watch them but once I do, I love them and they're some of the best movies I've seen. Legends of the Fall is an example. . didn't want to see it but did and I adore the movie.
I love TV. I watch too much TV when I'm able to. I get WAY too sucked into TV and I'm not ashamed to tell you that it's mostly reality crap and sitcoms. I tell you. . . I get so sick of all the new reality shows however it's SO easy to get completely addicted to them. This is why I refuse to watch any new ones because my brain is turning to mush. I'm completely addicted to Lost and will search out any clues on that show that I can find. Anyone have any good theories? I miss my Friends but I love my Joey. If I let myself, I'd fall deep into CSI, Law and Order, etc, but I don't let myself. And I STILL keep up with Days of Our Lives after 15 years. . .it's absolutely ridiculous but I can't help it.
I've read The Da Vinci Code twice and I'm telling you. . if you haven't read it. . DO! It's so interesting and there's a really cool scavenger hunt you can do on www.davincicode.com. I've also become a complete Harry Potter head. I'm re-reading all of them right now and can't believe I have to wait two years for the last book. I read all the time. I love it. My husband tells me I'd read the phone book if I had nothing else to read. If I had the time, I'd write a book. Unfortunately. . .time is a rare commodity.
Anyone who is passionate about a cause is a hero to me. The person that takes in abandoned animals that don't have homes, the person that walks the 40-mile breast cancer walk. . even more so if they're a survivor, the person that is a foster parent for troubled kids, the person fighting for our country in combat, the person that rescues a family out of a burning building, and the person that lost his or her life to save another through organ donation. . . all people like that have a place in my heart. I also have hero's in my family, my friends and my daughters. In weird, roundabout ways, they're all heros to me in too many ways to mention.
