Alice Parris

About Me

This site is in tribute to music legends Billie Holiday and Dinah Washington. Alice Parris is an avid fan of old jazz standards. Above all, the torch song. Her influences have been: Billie Holiday, Dinah Washington, Sarah Vaughn, Ella Fitzgerald, Louis Armstrong and Mahalia Jackson. Some of the early female gospel singers continue to inspire her. Due to the multiple influences, there will be no song rendered the same way twice. Stop by. You never know who might pop out, sing a note, riff, or full throttle vibrato...
